SAFE2 Project Intern & Camp Supervisor
Independent Contractor - 10 Weeks

Project Dates: June 13 to August 19

Regular Workdays: Monday to Friday, some evenings, weekends and overnight 

Regular Time: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, with 1-hour break

Bonus potential: Up to $1K

Supervise/Train: 15 youth and young adults, 16- to 25-years old

Manage Cohort Space: 3 classrooms, up to 48 children, 7- to 15- years old or 3rd to 8th graders

Manage Staff/Supply Office: 1 classroom, Equipment and Technology

Requirements: Background and Fingerprint with PPS, 18+ years old, COVID-19 vaccination or official exemption notice from physician, wearing masks and ensuring safe spaces. 

Basic description: Regular professional oversight and coordination to support youth professional development engagement for 8-weeks (June 21 to August 14), and a peer-to-peer camp for 5-weeks (July 5 to August 5). Responsible for facilitating the mission, vision and values of Kúkátónón by coordinating and managing the summer school location and staffing needs. Prepare weekly electronic status reports based on provided guidelines, keep projects on schedule and people safe. Facilitate group workshops for intern development training and techniques based on own strength, goals and needs. Monitoring classroom and staff space for daily compliance (cleanliness, attendance, safety, creative, age-appropriate, teamwork, budgeting and S.T.R.E.A.M. focused). Serve as a positive model and facilitator with parents, community safety partners and other engaged community. Deliver empowered communications with others. May need own vehicle to drop off or pick up for project. Purchase supplies and other resources as needed. Manage budget and track receipts. Help plan the major events for Family and Staff Retreat, and annual magazine publication. Other needs as established with final short-term independent contractor agreement.
