African Dance

Kukatonon 2017 Showcase_NH12038.jpg

Kukatonon offers a weekly African Dance class for our Troupe members. Taught by professionally trained Teaching Artists, this class teaches our dancers about traditional and contemporary West African dance moves, drumming rhythms, and costumes. Working to master complex choreography for Troupe performances, our dancers practice vigorously each week, accompanied by live African drumming.

Workshops

Kúkátónón periodically offers workshops, open to community members so everyone can experience African dance!

Our Teaching Artists lead workshop attendees through basic choreography, accompanied by live African drumming, and provide a culturally-authentic and fun dance experience!

Workshop dates will be announced by Thursday, Dec 15, 2018.
